Not sure what to say?

Ruth, I just read that Steve passed away last month in the Kol Ami Bulletin, which was in my mail today. It´s been many years that we´ve been gone from Tucson and yet I still have fond memories when we met back in 1972. We offer you our sincere condolences for your loss.

I worked with Steve in recent years until he retired from his job doing disability assessments for the state of Az. He had such a great outlook on life and seemed to be able take lifes difficulties in stride. We used to take walks together on our work breaks and talk about so many things. I don't think I ever met anyone easier to like than Steve. I will remember him fondly.

Steve always set an example of proper Jewish behavior, albeit peppered with humor and (sometimes bad) puns. His memory is a blessing to all who knew him.

May his memory be for a blessing and in time be a source of comfort and love.

Dr. Dickstein was a lovely man who was respected by everyone who knew him. His work as "Hevrah Kadishah" (burial committee) was a gift to our community which cannot be praised enough. Steve was mohel to both our sons and we can attest to his steady hands. We will miss his bad puns and his devotion to Jewish traditions from birth to end of life.

Boyhood and Hebrew School Chum. Interesting he became a mohel. His grandfather did the deed on me, and probably most of Flint's Jewish males. He will be missed. One of the good ones! RIP Steve. Don in L.A..
