'I'm Lost Without Him'
Michelle Dorf said she used to fight "a lot" with her brother Stephen S. Dorf. But as the two youngest among six siblings from Bensonhurst in Brooklyn, they were also very close.

He helped her get a job at Euro Brokers/Maxcor Financial Group, where he worked as a communications technician on the 84th floor of 2 World Trade Center. When she could not afford to buy a home by herself, she said, he went in as her partner, and the two got a five-bedroom house in New Milford, N.J.

Mr. Dorf, 39 and single, was also the father figure to his younger sister's 15-year- old son after her divorce. Uncle and nephew were addicted to movies - "Everything. The hottest movie out they'd see," Ms. Dorf, 37, said - and loved nothing more than watching television together, day and night.

"He used to baby-sit a lot," she said. "He used to do everything around the house. I don't know what I'm doing now. I'm lost without him."

Not sure what to say?

I didn't know Steve, but met his sister Michelle once. She had told me about losing her dear brother. (I'd driven her home in my taxi.)

I'll always remember that day, and all the people we lost, especially Stephen. He and Michelle lived in my hometown of New Milford, NJ. May he Rest In Peace!

Remembering Stephen on the 20th anniversary of 9/11...

How could 18 years have passed, and never going to stop passing. I have grown up now and you have not been there to see it. My wedding, my career-my life. The death certificate states you were murdered. Not only you but those around you, should this day never be forgotten. Everyone who reads this remember that very day and how you felt, the days and weeks after looking and believing in hope that we would find him, and you some how still alive some where. The years of pain to get over not...

You're in my prayers, brother.
