Not sure what to say?

Sharon, I was so sorry to hear and read about Steve's passing. My prayers are with you. Steve was a good friend and advisor. I know that Leslie was very upset upon hearing of his passing also. I guess he was needed up stairs to teach the little ones. May God bless and kept you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr Douglas was one of my favorite teachers that I had thru out school. My prayers are with you.

Steve always brought joy and laughter with him as he would pop in and out of the library/Media Center at Longfellow and Washington Schools. What a fun guy. Students loved his creative approach to learning and his love and respect of nature. He touched many lives in a most positive way. God Bless you Sharon, as I know you have suffered with him the past year. You will miss him FOR SURE, but knowing he is free of his suffering has to bring peace. Your faith in God and his love for you...

I will always remember Mr.Douglas as my favorite teacher, I even requested him for my son many years later and he too loved him. I really wish there were more dedicated teachers like him in the world. He will be sorely missed!

Sharon, I am so sorry to hear about Steve. We went all through Longfellow grade school together. He had my son Christopher in 6th grade at Longfellow. What a great person. You are in my prayers.

My deepest sympathies to you all. I worked at Roberts Insurance Agency many many years ago and certainly remember Mr. Douglas coming in - and he was always so kind, and patient. We need more Steve Douglas
in this world.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

To Steve's family,

My old friend will be truly missed. I am so happy that I was able to see Steve a couple of years ago when his Mom passed away and now he is joining her. Steve attended my Dad's funeral in 2002 and it was a joy seeing him then too. We certainly grew apart but have so many memories to share growing up down the street from each other on Parkview Drive that bring tears of laughter. He was a wonderful guy and always a great friend. So long buddy. I'll join you one of...
