I had the most respect for Steve on many fronts. When Devin and my son Andrew were young teens, they played on the same baseball team, with Steve as the Head Coach. Dear Jodene, Elyse, Devin and Family,

We send our deepest sympathy. Steve was a wonderful man and such a blessing to you and his students. Ethan and Johnathan were fortunate to have him as their teacher at Jackson. Elsye, it seems like just yesterday when I first met him in my first grade classroom at Lake Cable for Open House in 2001. He was so proud of you and your brother. May God wrap you in his arms and fill you with peace and love.
