Stephen Lanan Fewell 1969 - 2021 Gastonia- Stephen Lanan Fewell, 51 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 27, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Gaston County on May 22, 1969, to the late Ervin and Collesta Jeanette Black Fewell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers Michael Fewell, Clifton Black, and Robert Black, in-laws, Kay and Kenneth McCaskill. Steve was a member of Souls Harbor Tabernacle. Steve was employed with Hunter Douglas for many years. He was a graduate of Hunter Huss High School. Steve enjoyed cooking and working in the house. He also enjoyed coaching basketball, softball and t-ball. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 33 years, Tracy McCaskill Fewell; his daughters, Kayla and Stephanie Fewell; and a granddaughter Aniya; brothers, Kevin and Anthony Fewell of Gastonia, NC; sisters, Barbara Miller of Newark, New Jersey, Yvonne Black, Linda Alexander, and Wanda Fewell all of Gastonia, NC; several nieces and nephews The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 1st at Souls Harbor Tabernacle, 271 Camp Rotary Road, Gastonia with Pastor James Chambers officiating. Interment will be private Pallbearers will be Kenneth McCaskill, Kevin McCaskill, Brandon Flowers, Kevin Fewell, Angel Acevedo and Joshua Teague. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, if you feel the need to stay home, a card or phone call to the family will be appreciated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be paid to the funeral home for his funeral expenses.
