So sorry to hear about your loss. Steve was a good friend and a great dancer. He did enter the room with a big Howdy and a big smile. He called me Hammer and being a friend meant more than words to him. He will be dearly missed.

Well my jarhead brother and dear friend, you will be missed by me and my family very much.Lee if you need me just call! Miss ya and Love ya man SemperFi Mark Henson

Sorry i could not make it but the roads were bad..Everytime i think of Steve i think of "Mr.Westside" and all the good times we had...keep your heads up and be strong...

Dearest Cheryl, Fred, Trey, and Quade; We have lost one of the last of the "gentleman cowboys". He was the epitomy of a "long, tall Texan", wasn't he? Steve was such a "the glass is FULL, NOT HALF-FULL" kinda guy. (ha) I have such happy memories of him telling his great stories and me always laughing alot when he would make his "hit and run" visits to your house. (He was usually on his way fishing, if I remember correctly-ha). I am so glad I knew Steve. I am so sorry for your loss,...

Steve was a dear friend in high school. We didn't stay in touch much but when we did run into each other, it was like old times. Robert & I were lucky to see him about a year ago. As always, he was happy go lucky. We grieve with you during this time and pray for your comfort. I wasn't able to make it to the memorial because of Robert's illness & current hospitalization.

To my Dad, Aunt Cheryl, and all my family, I'm so sorry I couldn't be at the memorial service. My job took me away, and I tried really hard to change my travel plans but I just couldn't get back in time. I will miss my Uncle Steve very much. He was so funny, and always made me laugh. Alyssa still talks about him showing her to dance on Christmas Eve. He told her it was all in the hips!

My deepest sympathies to all the family for your loss of Steve. I met him when I was 18. We had a lot of fun times back in the day. We didn't keep in contact, but I remember the last time I saw him. It was at the exes dance in 2004. It was like old times. He walked in the door with that big booming voice and smile and gave me a big hug. He was truly a great guy and will be missed.

Dear Ed, Patty and girls and Fred, Cheryl,Trey and Lee,
I am so sorry for your loss and just wanted you to know that I will always remember Steve with a smile on his face and laughter in his heart. I have for the last six years been grateful to him for showing my Mom so much comfort and encouraging her when I had a heart
attack. She has said many times that when he came to visit after he
heard he made her have hope that I was going to be okay. He was a great guy! We were...
