Not sure what to say?

if academics can ever be 'cool' then stephen was the real deal...a very important and supportive man in my own life and career as well...my condolences to the family

Foster was one of the first professors I met when I first got to the SAAH in 1992. He was a funny guy. My condolences Estera Milman and family.

The human embodiment of Dada. I could not be more proud to carry on his torch.

Foster, you were the absolute best. Rest in peace.

One of my favorite people in the whole world. Much love to Estera and the entire family. He taught me so much more than art history.

You were a great friend. We had wonderful conversations and laughed a lot. I am missing you, your humor, your sharp insight and wit. You were instrumental in advancing my career. Dear Steve, Rest In Peace.

Stephen and Estera were customers who became fine friends in Iowa City. There were few times that Stephen and I spoke that were not filled with laughter. Twenty years ago, my younger son, around age 12, described Stephen as, "the only person who swears more than Dad." Stephen, of course, was very proud of the distinction. I think of you often and fondly, Stephen.

Professor Stephen Foster and Estera were important people to me when I was at the University of Iowa. My sincere condolences to you Estera Milman. May he rest in peace.
