Read MoreI first met Steve around 1933 when we were allowed to play outside on Pingree street in Detroit,MI. Then we both attended Fairbanks elementary school, which no longer exists, and usually walked together to school along Third avenue. When Steve's family moved to Parma in 1941 I wrote in my diary "today I lost my best friend."

Dear Jeanne and family: Sandy and I were so saddened to learn of Steve's passing....Our hearts and prayers go out to you. We have many happy memories to cherish, and I feel that after working with Steve at the Bank for nearly 40 years that I have lost a true friend.
