Not sure what to say?

To Karen, Dylan, Christopher and Edie. My wife and I were deeply saddened when learning that our good friend Steve had left us all after a long battle. We met Steve and his family back in 91, when he was a Fulbright professor in Tromso, Norway.
We had a wonderful year together and Steve fell in love with our part of the world. We visited Springfield and B`ham in 99, and had a splendid stay. Since then we stayed in touch till the very end. He was a great friend, husband and father, a...

Our deepest sympathy to you, Karen, Dylan and Chris, in your loss. Steve was a wonderful, wonderful man, who'll be very much remembered. We shall miss his Christmas artwork, and his entertaining poems and notes. I think one of his notes discussing "Beowabbit" was my all-time favourite!

I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Dr. Glosecki. I took two classes from him (Viking Lit. and LOTR), and really enjoyed them both. He was a wonderful lecturer, I remember his discussions regarding Beowulf and Grendel and his discussions about Beorn and the Beornlings. I remember when he showed up to class one day with a battle axe and joked with us about being careful with it.

His mind was phenomenal and his enthusiasm was contagious. He was kind and thoughtful to...
