Not sure what to say?

September 7, 2008

It was June 1950 but it seems like last week that I became Steve's first secretary at the then called "Gillette Safety Razor Company" So much has happened since I feel very nostalgic and wish I could give Helen my condolences in person.

Mary Downey Wiles, Indialantic, FL

Steve (Grandson), I am deeply sorry for the loss of your grandfather. Please accept my condolences. When I met you at Gillette, I thought that it was neat that you worked at the same company as your grandfather. I'm sure that he was proud of you.

Former Gillette Employee

Mrs. Griffin and Luke, so sorry to hear of Mr. Griffin's passing. I am sure you do not remember me I am one of Charlie Gill's twin daughters. I remember very well the many times you were at our home at 21 Foxcroft Road in Winchester. My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.

Mr. Griffin,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Helen and Luke,
We were so very saddened to learn today of the death of your dear husband and father. Steve's love of family, sense of humor, and humility endeared him to us. He kept us rapt with great stories of his early days, WW II adventures, and travels all over the world with the Gillette Company. Although we are unable to be there in person during this difficult time, we send our love and prayers to you from Florida. May God bless you both, along with all of your family members.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help at this time.

Luke,

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
