My deepest sympathy and condolences to Steve's family. I lived across the street from Steve on South 9th street in Arlington,Virginia in the 1950's. We were good frequently friends and played basketball at the circle at the end of 9th street and pick up football together in the neighborhood, including his friends from St. Johns and in Alexandria with a club. This is Dick Byrd. I lived just across the street from Steve when we were ages 7 to 10 years old. He was my best friend, and I remember him well. I am also 88 yers old and my health is fine, but my wife died last October.
