Stephen Allen Hawkins Jr.

Memories of Steve popped into my head this morning. Funny how that happens. I looked up his obit and realized it has been almost 20 years since he passed and probably 40 years since I saw him last. A recollection came to me of large group of us playing the tackle soccer game we often played at recess at Mountain View School. I distinctly remember tackling Steve and him rolling over and we both started laughing hysterically. Then I thought of the time he hit a grand slam at Leahy field...

A gentle soul with an inner peace that was felt in your presence. I wish for peace to your family and the love of many prayers to your children. Steve was a friendly, caring and hardworking husband and father. We have enjoyed watching your family grow and play together in the backyard. We will miss seeing Steve's smiling face walking around the neighborhood and playing in the driveway with the boys.
