Not sure what to say?

The Hedges Family,
I am so sorry for your great loss. I was wanting to send a note wishing Dr. Hedges and family a HNYear and googled for the address when up came the obit. I did not know until now. Dr. Hedges was a very special, kind man and one that I truly felt cared and connected w/ his patients---a quality not always common amongst professionals. I appreciated that trait. A truly unique man. Peace and prayers to all of you.

Greg called me on his way home from Steve's memorial service. He said it was a beautiful and moving service. I am lost for words as to what grief you must be experiencing, Suzy, Josh and Sarah....but know that God is celebrating Steve's arrival in heaven. He was a very gifted man and extremely kind...this is how I remember him. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Suzy, Josh, and Sarah, we are so sorry for your loss! Prayers for peace and comfort from our family to yours. Love Brad, Rebecca, Sophie, and Maddie

I will miss you, Dr. Hedges. Your warmth and generous spirit made my eye appointments a visit to look forward to. With my deepest sympathy to your family.

I'm sorry for your loss. I didn't know Stephen, other than as our family eye Dr. upon taking over Dr. Kernel's practice in Indy. I'm proud to know more of him and what he stood for, from these entires and his news paper obituary. He will leave a great void only to fill a huge spot in heaven. May God bless his family as ,Stephen watches over youand all. Rest now Stephen in God's loving embrace

My heart is so sad for your loss but so full for the blessings and love that this amazing man left behind. His life and legacy will be carried on by each of you and I know you will honor him and the Lord in all you do. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Hi Suzy,Josh,Sara & All Your Friends, Steve!!! We Are DEEPLY SADDENED LEARNING THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED "WONDERFUL FRIEND", WHEN A FEW WEEKS AGO WE WERE SO OPTIMISTIC YOU WERE GONNA BEAT THIS TERRIBLE CANCER... I RECALL HOW MUCH YOU SEEMED IMPROVED THE LAST TIME I SAW YOU, BUT IN A PRAYER WE PRAYED FOR YOU THAT DAY WE ASKED GOD FOR YOUR COMPLETE HEALING WHATEVER WAY THAT WAS GOD'S WILL... I RECALL ASKING GOD TO HEAL YOU AND KEEP YOU WITH US "DEAR FRIEND" BUT IT SEEMS GOD DECIDED YOU DIDN'T...

"Great are the men who leave a legacy behind" I never thought that I would have to write this as I feel deeply saddened and shocked to learn that Dr.Hedges passed away. He was a great doctor for our whole family, my kids absolutely loved the way he communicated with them on their level.Over a decade he remained a wonderful doctor and I learnt that he was an amazing human being. His humility and kindness impressed our whole family and we delightfully and eagerly visited him.I miss his stories...
