Not sure what to say?

As a classmates I will always remember his smile, always friendly and happy. Quite the gunsmith, remember his shop when we visited Grass Valley from Montana. Sending hugs and prayers to his family and until we meet again....

The best uncle that a kid could ask for. Steve was always warm and welcoming when our family came up to Grass Valley and spent the summers at the family compound. He let us run crazy through his shop and taught us work ethic by having us sweep and clean. Steve loved his work and we all appreciated his craftsmanship. As I got older and moved to the area, he toted me along and taught me how to play tennis. Some of my best memories are with him and his buddies out at the NU tennis courts. ...

Very sorry for your loss and sending healing prayers. We went to school together

My prayers go out to Cheri and the family at this loss. Steve was a dear friend that I sadly have not seen for some time. Always kind and an inspiration. I´m so thankful our hope is in Jesus and we´ll meet again when Jesus comes. Until then RIP Steve.

You are now one of our classmates in heaven I remember you fondly and I remember the day of your accident. It was heartbreaking. It was always good to see you every once in a while at the fair throughout the years sending Your family love and hugs and prayers. See you up thereGeri Jensen Scott

Steve lived and worked twice as hard as anybody else. He was more of an athlete than most. His sarcastic play occasionally left me worried. Like when he repaired my bb gun and gave me an invoice for $100 as an 8 yr old. He let the kids play in his shop. He let the kids play in his house. He let us all play poker at Christmas! He was the best Uncle. I will just imagine him working away in his shop in Idaho forever. I can't imagine he's gone. So sorry Cheri, not fair. Mpp

Rick enjoy playing wheelchair basketball with Steve, and I always liked his calm and friendly demeanor. He will be greatly missed! So glad to hear that he will be with the Lord. Love, Jeree' and Rick Waller, Grass Valley CA
