Not sure what to say?

It has been a year but you are still in the hearts and thoughts of many of us from Camp Lightfoot. As the big reunion approaches, I look forward to returning to camp and seeing the tree planted in your memory. "Memories that linger constant and true, Memories we cherish, campers, friends and you".
God continue to Bless the Hilchey family.

Steve and I met at Camp Lightfoot in the summer of 1979. He had on a Red Sox hat and I was wearing a Yankee hat. He booed my hat and I laughed at his. This was the start of a friendship that will go on forever. He came to WV and was part of my wedding to Sara at camp in 1985, visited us at our home a couple of years later and joined us at many happy reunions at camp Lightfoot. I had the pleasure of visiting him at his home, attending a Yankees / Red Rox game at Fenway and going sailing...

Dear Joan, Susan, Richard & Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

With Kindest Regards,

Anthony

I am very saddened by Steve's passing. We were friends and fellow bandies with the Norwood High Mustang Band, and classmates (1977). We had a lot of fun and memorable times during those years, band camp etc. All who read this will appreciate that at my Dad's wake in 1993, Steve showed up to pay his respects and was shocked to see me there. He thought it was THIS Joe who had passed on. That's something I still chuckle about 15 years later. I offer my condolences to all of Steve's friends and...

We wish to express our deepest sympathy to the Hilchey family. Steve was a wonderful, thoughtful, and caring person who always brought a smile to your face. We knew Steve as part of the Grand Lightfoot family. Memories of him will be forever engraved in our hearts. We have lost a dear friend and loyal Lightfoot brave. He will truly be missed, but his Lightfoot spirit will linger on for years to come. May God bless you and keep you and may you cherish the joys and memories, just as we...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Dear Joan, Sue & Family, Richard & Family and his wife, Lori- I can't express how I felt when I heard that Steve had passed. I am very saddened and then I think of all the good times we had in high school and the years that followed being a part of the family. My love and prayers go out to you all. I'm sure he's in good hands with Nana Hatlas and his Dad.

Dear Joan, Richard and family, Susan and Family and Lori,
God has taken him us but Stephen will always be with us in our hearts and minds. Thank you all for sharing him with all of us over the past 48 years.
My memories of Stephen span from meeting him at Camp Lightfoot and beyond. May God comfort us in this loss but I am sure he is watching over us and out of pain.

My camp and college years have been spent laughing with Steve. He always had a smile on his face and a trick up his sleeve. He will be missed by everyone who was touched by his life.

I am sure he is in heaven now playing taps.
