Then, Steve and I went to highschool together, and one day, he surprised me with a stained glass piece he made me in a class. He was always a sweetie. We grew up, I moved away and we went our separate ways. When I moved back to Beaverton, I ran into Ralph, who told me Steve worked at Fred Meyer. Shortly after, Steve passes. To the Holland Family,
I wish I had the right words to say that would help you through this sad time. It is never easy to lose someone you love, especially hard around the Holiday Season. Your family was a huge part of my childhood and adolescence, I thank you for all the wonderful memories. May God Bless you all this Christmas. Hello to Ralph Jr. and Tom, I'm so sorry to hear about Steve. Much Love.

To the Holland Family I know you have lost a loved one. I too lost a friend and an officiating mentor in football. I always turned to Steve for guidence as a football official. I will never forget the man that made a difference in my life and everyone around him.
