Steve & I went sailing in lake Ponchartrain when we were both students @ Tulane Medical School. Of the two of us, he was the only one who knew what he was doing. Sorry for your family´s loss.

I've never known anyone who could relate so easily and so well to so many different kinds of people in a friendly way the way Steve did. The most radically diverse collection of people, from ditch-diggers to Ph.D.s, from bums to billionaires, all simply adored Steve Horwitz. To go anywhere with him was to be showered with the good will that people felt for him.
