Not sure what to say?

I had a choice at the time of Steve's memorial service: go to his service which would last an hour or two, or go to Camp Ondessonk for a work weekend: repairing, cleaning, and helping any way needed. Seeing as how I met Steve at Camp, a place where we had good times, it wasn't a hard decision.
I made a copy of his picture, took it with me and passed it around. I spoke about him and said a prayer for a moment before our big dinner meal, and then taped his picture to the ambo during...

I have very positive memories of Fr. from his tenure at Okawville. A short, well considered answer to a question I posed to him after mass one day still influences my decisions about 35 years later. God bless him.

Father Humphrey and Grogan were my childhood priest at Holy Angels, when they took over the duties there they were like a breath of fresh air. We had a priest who was very stuffy and unfriendly before they took over. These two would interact with kids and play basketball, baseball and made us laugh. We had never seen anything like them before. I was sad to learn they had taken him out of the local area and moved him to another parish miles away. He was missed in our area.

Our hearts are saddened. He was a great friend. We had lots of good times together; great memories. Bless him.

Please accept my heart felt sympathy for the loss of your loved one. May the God of all comfort strengthen you at this time of sadness May God promise for the future bring you peace. Hosea 13:14
