Stephen Kalatucka, age 94, passed away on May 11, 2018 of Langhorne, PA, formerly of Chester, PA, U.S.Army Veteran of WWII, a graduate of Penn State University and worked as a Mechanical Engineer with the Department of Defense of the U.S.Navy, for 30 years, retiring in 1987. 


Stephen loved his trips to Florida and always wanted to retire there, he enjoyed crossword puzzles, scrabble, and anything mechanical.


Husband of the late Williametta (nee Coppock).  Father of the late Susan Lynn Plybon.


Survivors; Father of Stephen Kalatucka, Jr., Gary Lee Kalatucka (Jill), Kenneth Kalatucka (Debra), and Denise Anne Rea. Grandfather of Colin Rea, Shawn Kalatucka, Kelly Kalatucka, Candace Dawn Reeder, and Kevin D. Plybon. Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.


Relatives and friends may attend a viewing on Thursday, 5/17/2018, 10:30-11:45 AM, at the Kaniefski-Kendus-D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 3900 West 9th Street, Trainer, PA 19061, followed by a Funeral Service at 12 Noon. Internment Lawn croft Cemetery.

My condolences on your loss. I have very fond memories of your father from the Naval Air Development Center in Warminster, PA. As a young engineer--also from Penn State--your father was a breath of fresh air as he mentored, encouraged and challenged me. We were awarded a patent together on an invention we jointly came up with for an aircraft flight monitoring device. It was one of the highlights of my young career.
