Stephen Robert Kampfschulte

I have so many great memories of Steve and my Dad. Literally the two of them were joined at the hip. Steve always wanted to see me learn German to the point where he one time brought back a MAD magazine and Bravia snd Butthead in German. He knew a ton about the royal family and traveling with Him and Dad to England was a memorable experience and it makes me want to go back there. God bless both Steve Kampfschulte and Jack Ogle my father. Both of you are very missed!

I am so saddened to learn of Kamp's passing. I happened to be telling a coworker about one of the best teachers I ever had and decided to google him and found this obituary. I was taught history/government by Kamp and Ogle at LHS but learned a great deal more from these two. In August 2022, my husband received a package. It contained a folded letter and a little 4x 6 wooden frame containing a wrinkled up old piece of tattered, dingy-brownish athletic tape, smashed between the cardboard backing and the glass. Across the front of this tape were underlined words handwritten in black Sharpie: "PAYBACKS ARE HELL".
