Not sure what to say?

To Steve’s family into Steve’s friends:
This is my second entry into Steve’s guest book. You need to know that he was one of the finest human beings I ever knew.

I just learned of Steve´s passing today. It is truly heartbreaking and my prayers and condolences go out to his family and loved ones. As they say, people may not remember what you said or what you did, but they´ll remember how you made them feel. And he always made those around him feel special- like a friend. That he listened and cared. What a gift. Merry Christmas to you Steve. You are missed. Rachel

Rest Well My Friend!

I met Steve during my first year in law school. He was a year ahead of me but we worked as research assistants for Professor Fairfax Leary, Jr. We worked independently during the school year but more closely during the Summers, and he treated me as a friend from the moment we were introduced. He was gracious in accepting an invitation to my wedding and his very nice clock still helps me to keep track of time as I work in my home office. I moved it from the window sill to the mantle the...

My deepest condolences for your family's loss. Steve was such a pleasure to know and interact with professionally. He set the bar at the highest level of integrity, knowledge and overall kindness. A straight shooter and reasonably minded person we all could wish to emulate. He was a bright and warm light who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Always a smile!

To The Kelly Family,

Thank you for sharing Steve with the law enforcement community for many years.

Steve was a great friend and mentor who was always available to assist. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his work as one of the best drug prosecutors to work in Chester County. He taught me so much about drug law enforcement.

A group of us would take walks for coffee to a local coffee house in West Chester. They were some of the best discussions and laughs we...

I was a Deputy at the CCSO from 1993-2004 prior to taking a police officer position. I first met Steve in Courtroom 1, Judge Gavin. He was such a nice man and would often speak to me if i was assigned there. He was a true gentleman, professional, compassionate, no non sense, kind, genuine and i could go on. I loved to watch him prosecute cases and get those well deserved convictions. He always had a smile!!. I have since retired to Millsboro DE. I spent my summers growing up in Lewes. I never...

So sad to hear this news. Good man. Always fair and willing to do the right thing. He will be missed. RIP
