Many memories come to mind of the boys gathering in the kitchen of our home in Rockford. Steven was a very special young man and I guess God had need of him more at this time. He will always be part of our hearts, as were and still are his wonderful parents, David and Diane. Always prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's death. He was such a wonderful and caring young man. He will be in my prayers along with Bill and his family.

I am proud to have known the entire Knapp family.

I will miss candid talks about our mothers "June Clevers" as he liked to call them. But most of all I will miss a true and loyal friend that I could talk to about anything.

I only new Steve for a short time while working and training with him at Forest City Dog Training Club but I could tell he was a very special person with a very large heart who had a desire to help people.

Steve and his dog, Mason, worked very hard together providing therapy to people in nursing homes. He was a valued member of our Club’s therapy program as well as club member and he will be missed. Steve was a shining star which will shine and live in the hearts he touched while...

I didn't know Steve, but you have shared a little part of him with all of us in this amazing tribute. Thank you.

Steve will be missed by all those who trained with him and Mason at Forest City Dog Training Club. They were a great team. We were fortunate to get to know him!

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. Steve was a very nice young man. I know this from working with him at American/now Amcore Bank.
