Deepest sympathy to family and friend. Steve has a special place in the hearts of his friends and neighbors in Snug Harbor. My parents, Phil and Emily Roper, were Steve and Hilda's neighbors on the Niantic Avenue, "the party street". They had many great times together, enjoyed their fish fries, but most of all treasured their friendship. Steve was MC for my Dad's surprise 80th B-Day party. He had everyone in stitches. What a great sense of humor.
