Not sure what to say?

Dear Landa, Lisa, David and Robert, I was so sad to hear about little Stephen. His time has come too soon. I will cherish my memories of him. I am grateful for his kindness and I will always remember his laugh (I can hear it in my head as I write this and it makes me smile). I am thinking of you all during this time of grief. With love, Becca (Kovacik)

I met Stephen briefly and hoped to know him better but he did make a strong impression on me. His wedding gift, a book of poems by Langston Hughes, said a lot about the real heart of the man. Bright and gifted, may God fold him into his arms again. To Stephen's family I send a quote in his memory. "Each person comes into this world with a specific destiny—he has something to fulfill, some message has to be delivered, some work has to be completed. You are not here accidentally—you are here...

An article will appear in the monthly Yonkers teacher newsletter in the month of January talking about...

Dear Landa, Joe and I are sorry for your loss, our condolence Joe and Josephine

Dear Landa,

So sorry for your loss.....

Sincerely, Verna DeLauer

I am very sorry to have learned of Stephen's passing. He became a good friend while I lived in Boston. Once a group of us took a taxi and Stephen started telling the Lebanese driver minute intricacies about the various political factions in that country. We scoffed at him thinking he was making up such stuff, but the cab driver said "No no he's right"

Mrs. Jade Sharp and all of the teachers and staff at Roosevelt High School send their heartfelt condolences to all of the Kovaciks. We did not have the opportunity to know Sephen, but he sounds like an extraordinary person living large in the Kovacik family tradition. Our prayers and best wishes are with all of you on this profoundly sad occasion. Karen King, on behalf of Roosevelt High School, New York, New York

I am thinking of you all :Landa, Lisa, David, Robert, Elizabeth, Walker, and Thomas. Remember Stephen's wonderful laugh, his appreciation of good conversation and his passion for the arts. Keep his spirit with you for ever.
Love,
Miranda Updike

I met Stephen only once, at his sister Lisa's wedding, but he made an indelible impression on me. I truly enjoyed his very distinctive, colorful personality, and I am saddened that I'll never have another opportunity to enjoy Stephen's uniqueness again. I am deeply sorry for your sudden, untimely loss of a beloved family member.
