Not sure what to say?

It´s been 13 years now and it still feels like yesterday when Dr. Lauten left this earth to be with our Heavenly Father. I miss him more than ever especially since there have been a lot of changes within the workplace and the world his smile would definitely make a difference. Praying for his family and friends for peace and comfort.

Think about you and miss you every single day. You had a wonderful smile, laugh and an uncanny way to explain the world and situations in simple terms. You were my best friend, teacher, and father I could have ever asked for. Just wish you could have seen your grandkids become such wonderful examples of your life.

I miss Dr. Lauten terribly and think about him often rest on sweet man in God hands!

It's been nine years since Dr. Lauten traded this earthly home to be in Heaven with the Lord and it still feels like it was yesterday. I think about him and all the fun memories all the times. I miss seeing him in the office and most of all I miss hearing him walking down the hall. My prayers are still with his family and friends and may God continue giving them strength.

It has been months since Dr. Lauten's passing from this life into Heaven and yet I just found out. I was saddened to hear it and my prayers are with his family. I will forever remember that Dr. Lauten saved my own dear father's life the day before Hurricane Frederick hit Mobile in 1979. My precious father suffered a heart attack and Dr. Lauten saw what was happening and performed cardiac massage on him thus giving us all more time with our dad. My heart knows there was something very...

Dr. Lauten was my primary care physician for 15 plus years. I found him to be easy to talk with and genuinely concerned about my welfare. He always had a smile. I'll miss him. Heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family and friends.

Dr. Lauten was our family physician for many years. He took a personal interest in each of our family members. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his death! He was one of a kind doctor who took such good care of his patients. We will miss him terribly and trust God grants his family members peace and grace during this time. Dr. Lauten was a very special person to all of us!

I just became aware of Steves' passing as I read a letter from SHC alumni class of "71's" 40 year reunion. He and I were pre-med students at "The HilIl." I have not seen him since graduation in 1971. I also am a physician in Louisville. I will remember Steve as a friend and a true gentleman and a member of KA. Reading his "guestbook" has left me speechlesss! I can only pray that my family, friends and patients will remember and praise me at my passing as they have with his. May God bless you...

I just learned of Steve's death and am filled with sadness. We were roommates our senior year at Spring Hill, and Steve was the best roommate any guy could have. There wasn't a dull moment. We co-authored a sometimes controversial column in the school paper called "Even-Stephen." Steve's wit and wisdom showed forth in every issue. He was a scholar in his double major, philosophy and English, and went on to be one of America's finest physicians. He will be truly missed. Margo and I send...
