Steve and I were friends in elementary school all the way through college. We played on the same little league baseball team and played pickup basketball and football and an occasional game of chess. Sorry to hear about Steve's passing. Long ago swimming memories.

I met Steven on the first day of the brutal surgical internship year. The ordeals of that first year, and the intense bond of friendship that we developed, lasted until the very end. I am Ngo nest when I say that my friendship with Steve helped me to endure that first year of residency, and I am happy that we remained friends ever since. I was so sorry to hear of my friend Steve I have never known a more intelligent person and his great sense of hummer will always be remembered by everyone in my shop I will always cherish our conversations about sports ,daily happenings ,and life ,from the time he was a little boy .My heart goes out to all his family I will think him often.

Was child hood friends with Steve and his family . Sad to hear this and my condolences and love to all of them. A lot of good memories and bbqs at their house as a kid. Steve Gabe me my first pair of converse and a flannel shirt I’ll never forget . I also remember taking him to my friends farm . The farmer co incidentally was also a Dr. I remember Steve seeing a lot of these animals for the first time and really being excited . That day always sticks out when I think about him .

Stephen was an exceptional student and a pleasure to teach! I am very sad to learn of his passing!
