Not sure what to say?

To the Leake family much belatedly - I knew Steve in high school and then later in LA where I have worked in the entertainment industry for 20+ years now. Steve was so funny, warm, and outgoing. I also fondly remember him offering to go out of his way to have his OU fraternity brothers from Bartlesville help my younger brother who had moved there and was unhappy after a move. Steve cared greatly about others - and his humor and laughter were incomparable. Unfortunately I just learned of his...

Dear Steve:
Our hearts are broken by your passing. You had such a good soul and I know (in my own heart) that you are with our sister Terry in Heaven. It brings us great comfort that you are both together. The outpouring of love and support we have seen and felt over the last month would have made you smile! I ask everyone to pray for our family, especiallly my Mom and Dad, as we continue to grieve for our losses of Terry and Steve. Steve never knew how many people he touched during...

Dear Leake family,
I am so sorry for your loss- I heard of it through my family and Mori Giovanetti. I went to St.Louis with Kristen. God Bless you in this time of loss.

Sadly, I learned of Steve's (going home) today and I am so sorry for the family and send my deepest regrets and prayers. In the spirit of Steve and his sense of humor, I would like to share a happy memory with those of you reading.

I first met Steve at St. Louis in the 6th grade - we were both in Mrs. Grooms' class and then I recently met him again through my job, 31 years later.
I knew that name so I searched through my grade school diary after he called our agency a few months...

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Leake and family,
Robie and I send our thoughts and prayers to you all. I did not know Steve but clearly he had a love for friends, laughter and life. There are no words to take away the pain of losing a son and brother. I have found my faith and the passing of time the only comfort for such a devastating loss. I pray that God helps you find understanding and comfort.
Sincerely,
Fallon (Browning) Vaughn

Steve has been missed since he left LA several years ago. Every time Bryan Beasley and I get together, his name comes up and we smile and laugh because there was no other option, Steve made YOU smile and laugh. I'm still grateful for being a part of Experiencing Raju, where I got to know Steve. Fond memories of him and Bryan in our living room writing draft revisions of the film, and hearing Steve freestyle many, many ideas. All hilarious. Other fond memories include Steve at Barney's...

I was lucky enough to get to know Steve during his years in LA. Since we were both from Oklahoma we became quick friends. Then Steve brought me the idea for "Experiencing Raju" and we worked together to make his vision a reality. Some of my fondest memories come from our trips together while Raju was on the film festival circuit. Steve would always take the lead in the Q&A's after the screenings. He was so comfortable in front of an audience; and above all he was so funny. I'll miss my...

Steve was one of the funniest guys I have ever known. I will miss him greatly.
