Dear Family, I am sorry that I was in Florida when Steve passed. I just found out on Thursday. Steve was a great man, dad and grandfather. Through him I was lucky to meet Becky and go to a few of her games - he was always so proud of you! Kate was on her way to college when I met Steve and he was so proud of you too - especially your academic achievements! He did love his garden and I was a recipient of his many vegetables. I remember hanging in the garage and drinking the beer from the keg in the basement was the best but most of all i remember him and my Dad taking his dog on walks. I was thankful they spent that time together i know my Dad enjoyed it!!

Mr. Lengyel was our long time neighbor, family and friend for over 60 years. The Lengyels and Jones kids were very close in age, went to school together, hung in the neighborhood together and shared the same faith growing up. If he was coming or going and saw us out and about he would always stop and say hello and ask about everyone. He was a caring person and took care of his family. My dad and he would have nice talks between the hedges when they were outside. They even made big plans...

We are so sad to learn this news. Mr. Lengyel was Doug's teacher in the HVAC/Refrigeration program at Mercer County Vo Tech. He would take Doug with him on Saturdays to work on refrigeration units in small Mom & Pop stores which gave Doug lots of experience. We would stop late on Christmas Eve for a visit to hear his stories & have a few beers together. We will never forget his kind heart & hospitality. One for the ages. We will miss you Mr. Lengyel.
