Not sure what to say?

A year already !!! Steve, you are still in my thoughts. Just this morning, I was having a projectionist's dream---about Copley. One of the best times at Copley was working the Boston Film Festival. It was that once-a-year time when we projectionists actually got the chance to work as a team. Working overnight was not uncommon. I often worked with Steve during those times. We took turns taking the occasional cat nap. We also had many laughs. As others have mentioned, Steve was very...

I too was in the local projectionist union 182. In my brief moment on the
board Steve was always the most wise. He always struck me as calm even in the midst of the most difficult situations. Rarely did I ever witness any anger in him. In my oh so brief meetings with him over the years he always held this calm demeanor and behind those perpetually sleepy eyes I always perceived a relaxed soul.
Rest In Peace old friend.

There's now way for me to summarize the friendship I had with the great Steve Livernash whom I knew starting in 1978 as a work study student at Center Screen which was the precursor to the Harvard Film Archive. (That's where I met Margo as well.) Let's just say that I spent many hours in the HFA booth talking about anything and everything. Also, thanks to Steve, I was able to know Rangeley Maine. That's where I explored my passion for fly fishing, had a few scotches, got re-introduced to...

I was a projectionist for many years in the Boston/Cambridge area theatres. Steve was one of the first people to train me when I joined IATSE Local 182. We had more in common than movies. Both of us were foodies. And we both enjoyed Early Music. Steve and I were not only work buddies but became friends. Steve, you were so kind. I will cherish my memories of you.
Condolences to family and to Margot.
