Steve introduced me to the Beatles at Walnut Hill. Within a week of him playing the 45 rpm "I Want to Hold Your Hand," I bought a "Beatles Wig," a glorified piece of shag carpet, at Skillerns Drug Store. I considered Steve my best friend, but I realize everyone who met him feels that way. He also had a great collection of "Mad" magazines that we read religiously. I am so happy that Steve made it through this life with such a beautiful and loving family. Steve's last name said it all!

My sister Sue and I grew up with all the Lovings. They were great neighbors and friends. My sister was especially close to Steve. Although we have not seen each other much lately, I have fond memories of all the Lovings. We miss Jane, and we will miss Steve. God Bless each of you.

Steve, Flo and I can hardly believe we will not see you again, not for a few years anyway. You were our spirit when times grew bad, you were our light when times grew dark. This is how we will remember you forever and we thank your enduring compassion. We send our hearts to Laura and Elizabeth with your spirit burning inside. Always your friends, always, and forever, Mike and Flo.
