Not sure what to say?

Steve, I am so sorry to read about your loss. I knew you when you were the Stake Athletic Director when I attended the Yorba Linda 4th Ward, back in 1987-1988. My son's name is also Connor McConkie. Great minds think alike :) I would love to hear from you. I tried to contact you a while ago to share some info on George Wilson McConkie, but was unsuccessful. We live in Gilroy, CA now. Hope you are doing well. Please drop me a line. Your friend, Burke McConkie ([email protected])

To the McConkie family,
I just heard today of the passing of Stephen. I express my deepest sympathy for the entire family and the many people accross the world who have been touched by his great gentle example. I graduated from high school and entered the M.T.C. right after high school with Stephen. We were probably the only 2 or 3 Elders in High School! His picture (seen in almost every chapel around the world) constantly reminded me what a great person he was. I am grateful to...

Dear Stephen,
I was so grieved to read about your son. What a tragic loss for you, Shauna, your family and his sweet wife and son. My mother, Lois Morrell, sent me the notice. I am so sorry.

Dear Andrea, Connor, and McConkies,
My heart goes out to all of you in your loss. What a great missionary he was whilst he served in Adelaide, Australia. A very caring and giving person. I was blessed to have known him. Thank you.

Andrea, Connor, and the McConkies,
I wanted to add my condolences and express appreciation for Steve's shining example of our Savior. I remember telling Steve in high school his middle name should have been "Wow" because everything he did left me in awe. Steve was a gracious friend who always found the best in every person and every situation. I know he is still spending his life in service to his Master.

Andrea,
I am sorry to hear about your loss. You were both such good examples to me through LDSSA. Steve was a great leader and he has left a great legacy with you and Conner. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Love, Suzanna Banister

Dear Andrea,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It was so wonderful to have you as part of my Olympic team, and I rejoiced to hear of your marriage of the birth of your son. God be with you and Connor until you can be with your husband again.

My heart and prayers go out to you Andrea, Connor and the whole family. I am very greatful that I had the opportunity to have served with the great Elder McConkie (my trainer). As a trainer he set the standard in all facets of missionary service and conduct, and he set a benchmark for me which helped me to fulfill all that I could have done in the field. I know that he is still going strong on the other side. May you all be comforted through this time.

All our love,

Dear Ence Family and Andrea,
My heart breaks for you as I heard about your husband's Death at such a young age. I did a lot of reading of church books while Ashley was in the hospital and I was really struck by the words of one of our prophets that sometimes the Lord needs to take the best of his spirits though they are young for his needs in the spirit world. After reading about Steve, knowing my Ashley's incredible spirit and remembering Paul Tingy...I feel there must be a special...
