Louise:
I am the other volunteer who played bridge at Granite Ridge with your Dad, Clayton and Mary White. We had lots of fun times and good laughs. One night on my way to our bridge game I hit a deer and your Dad never forgot that! I know you visited your Dad often, bringing treats from MacDonalds which he obviously enjoyed very much. Please accept my sincere condolences, I know you will miss him a lot.

In 1974, Steve hired me as a summer student in the vehicle purchasing unit at DSS. He was a great manager and a wonderful person, and he inspired me to choose a career in the federal public service, from which I recently retired.

Please accept condolences from a former colleague of Steve's when he worked in Supply and Services. He was dedicated in his work, respected by his clients and colleagues but enjoyed life and brought smiles to those around him.

Louise,
I'm not sure I'll be able to come Tuesday night and I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed playing bridge with your Dad at Granite Ridge. He always had a funny story to tell. My thoughts and prayers are withall of you at this time. No matter how old or sick our parents are it is still very hard to let them go. God Bless All of You.
