Not sure what to say?

I fill so torn, I just learned of Steve's passing last summer. Steve and I worked and lived together before he and Lauren married. We battled so many times on the basketball court that I can't remember. There was no finer man than Steve. I just hope and pray that Lauren can tell their children about the man that Steve was. Steve, my friend, I will be there with you in a few years and we will battle on the court once again. Love ya
Alex

Please accept my condolences; I watched Steve grow up (delivering the Free Press to his home daily), and we shared that competitve drive in sports. I am so Happy that Steve was a good Christian man, Sincerely,

His poem should be published! What an outstanding human being!!! Blessings to Lauren, Katie Fisher, Sloan and all those who loved and supported this gentle giant!
Your Grear Family

Basketball has been with me my entire life and I owe that to Steve. He is the reason I wore #22. He positively impacted my life as a child and I will never forget that. My love, thoughts and prayers are with you Lauren, Sloan, Katie and the McHugh family.

Steve had such an easy way about him – his laugh, his smile, his wit complemented his real kindness and goodness. His Geneva friends are blessed with lovely memories of him and thinking of him brings a smile to so many.

Sorry to hear of another loss to our Class of 67. Steve will be remembered as our star basketball player at Geneva High. The Best Smile and Stylish in our year book. What a testimony to hear what he did with his life.

Coach McHugh was by far the most influential teachers I had while at Bolton High School. I considered myself lucky to have been placed in his class my senior year. He always had a smile. He knew just what to say to make you want to know more. After his class I had a new appreciation for "The Money Song" and the stock market. I can still hear him singing... Money. Money, money...money!!! Our 10 year class reunion is this year. It saddens me to know he will not be there in person. I know he is...

When I heard that Steve had passed away I was very sorry and sad. I had not seen Steve in about fifteen years, but our lives crossed paths many times years ago in Geneva, Painesville, and Memphis.
He was a good guy and my life is better off for having known him. May he rest in peace and my prayers will go out to his family. God bless you Steve.

I graduated from Geneva Senior High with Steve, class of 67. Steve always had a smile on his face no matter what. I was proud to call him my friend.
My condolences to Steve's family.
