Not sure what to say?

Dear Jean, Although I only "knew" Steve and you as patients in the ED during his last few days, I became very fond of you both and my heart breaks for you... His memorial service was beautiful; thank you for allowing me the privledge of attending. It appears you have a wonderful support system, but if ever you need another pair of ears or shoulder, please feel free to get in touch with me. Sincerely, Debbi Lee, RN (Frisbie ED) and fellow church member (Congregational Church of Farmington)

Jean, Allison, Chris and Connor:

It is with a very heavy heart that I bid my good friend Steve a farewell. I will always remember his warm smile and will always reserve a space along the boards behind the goalie for him.

I have met literally hundreds of parents during my 10 plus years as a hockey parent. There has and will never be a finer role model and parent then Steve. His kindness, generosity and "down to earth" manner will be sorely missed.

Jean and family,
We were so sorry to hear about Herka. Our thoughts are with you and your children. He was a great guy and will be sadly missed.

To the Merrill Family,

My deepest sympathy to all of Steve's family. I graduated from high school with "Herka" and have such nice memories of a friendly kind person who had a smile that would light up a room. I said a prayer last night to my Mother who I lost last year to give him a hug up in Heaven. My deepest condolences. Wendi (Laban) Dunn

Sorry to hear of your loss. May the love from family and friends help you through this most difficult time.

To Jean and Family,

To the Merrill Family,

My sincere sympathy on Herka's passing. I remember Steve from elementary school and he was always the nicest person and shared a great sense of humor. I have fond memories. Please know I am thinking of his family. We are better people for having the opportunity to be with him if only for this short time. God bless you and be strong.
