Stephen B. Meyer

Steve Meyer will always live on among his Blue Cross Blue Shield friends. His legacy for us is the national network of friends that got the opportunity to know Steve as an exceptional person always willing to freely share his knowledge and experience. Over the years of transition of the Blues to taxable status Steve left a legacy of important IRS rulings that remain today valuable resources for Plans. Steve was awarded the 1st and thus far only coveted "Phil Neal" award upon his retirement...

I was just starting my career with TCSC and Steve was one of the members of the "HOLIDAY INN round table". He was always gracious enough to keep me involved in those discussions and to alway be a "genuine fellow". It was a special company, special time and with special people - like Steve. To his wife and children I express my sympathies and add that "I knew him when ..." and you would be proud that so many people thought so highly of this man.

I knew Steve as a member of TCSC/Nixdorf family and am saddened to hear of his passing. My sympathy to his family on the loss of a wonderful person.

Steve was a sort of a Robin Hood among accountants ... always seemed to be having fun crunching numbers ... not afraid to 'shoot at the sheriff,' so to speak, on behalf of the little guy ... he once got me back a completely unexpected $5,000 in overseas taxes ... and I recall that it took an Act of Congress to authorize the something like $500,000 that he recovered for James River Corp (well, that's a 'big guy' I guess, but a lot smaller than Uncle Sam who had the shareholders $$$) ... Steve...

I worked with Steve at TCSC/Nixdorf in the 1970's and am shocked to hear of his passing. I apreciated his dry sense of humor and ready smile. My sympathy to his family on a monumental loss at such a young age.

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. Mom relayed the sad news to me. Please know that my thoughts are prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I was just notified about the loss of Steve. We worked together in the good old days of TCSC/Capricorn/Nixdorf, whatever the name was at that time. Steve was very knowledgable of his numbers. I know he will be greatly missed by all of you.

I am very sorry and shocked to hear of Steve's passing. I worked with, and enjoyed my times with, Steve at Trigon for a number of years.

Iworked at Anthem with Steve. Even though I saw him seldom since I was in Indy and he in Richmond, I enjoyed his laid back approach to life. He certainly wasn't the typical "CPA type." I followed him in retirement and we had just formed the WellPoint Retirement Club. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
