Steve Millard will always be one of ny most memorable characters. In 1972, he took a big chance and hired me for my first “real job” as Brookstone’s first Creative Director. He, President Rick Chollet, and founder Pete deBeaumont taught me just about everything I ever knew about the creative side of the direct marketing business.

Steve was a patient, understanding, and uncannily wise boss, and one of the driving forces of Brookstone’s remarkable success.

Steve has enriched our lives in many ways; we treasure many memories of him and his South Dakota pheasant hunts. We enjoyed his graciously hosting us in his home last fall.
