Not sure what to say?

Lauren, Cindy, and the Orcino Family,

We were so sad to hear of Sammy's passing. We will always remember the good times we had at LSU games, Mardi Gras parades with the kids, and especially the New Year's Eve parties!

He had the most amazing ability to make everyone laugh. While we know he can never be replaced, be comforted in the knowledge that he had such a positive impact on people and will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all...

I knew Sammy through my husband, Damon. He came to visit us and the Carter's many times in Mississippi. He was always so nice and a joy to be around. Sammy will be remembered fondly and certainly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the Orcino family.

I am so sorry to hear about Sammy! I was in Florida when Dana sent the word out about his passing. Heaven has another Angel. So many fond memories of Sammy and the Canal Street bunch. Not enough space to put all the things we did growing up here - but the great times we had! My prayers go out to all of you.

SAMUEL WAS RAISED IN THE HOUSE BEHIND MINE.HE WAS A GREAT AND FUNNY PERSON. I ALSO WORKED WITH HIM AT GG.
MAY HE REST IN PEACE AND BE WITH GOD AND ALL HIS ANGLES.
MAY GOD BLESS THE ORCINO FAMILY.

Years ago Samuel told me that I look like my mama (Harriet), everytime he would say that to me I would get made at him. Looking back I'm glad he told me that because now she has a sweet little grand-daughter that looks like granny Harriet. I hope Samuel sends a sign to someone so they can tell that to Stormie when she is old enough to understand.

Remembering Sammy

I’ve known Sammy for almost 5 years and first met him when he lived alone in relatively good health in the Alvin Dark apartments for the disabled. The first thing I learned about Sammy was his love of gardening.

Unlike most small apartment gardens, Sammy’s garden started at the foot of his front door and spread East and West along those adjoining apartment front lawns until the whole area was filled with daisies, hyacinth, blooming bulbs, tropical plants and more. And when I...

It was very sad to hear about Samuel. I have great and fond memories of him. It was never a dull moment with him around growing up in Plaquemine. He was so funny and full of life. He made everyone who was around him laugh. I hope those good memories of him will help ease the pain you are feeling, My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief

Our condolences go to his family. We worked with Sammy through Jani-King and always liked him. He seemed to enjoy making people smile. I know he will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
