My deepest condolences to Maria and his grandchildren. Steve's grandfather Steven, his namesake, was my grandmother Alexandria Piasciks brother. Steve and I both worked at 731 James Street and spent many hours talking about our grandparents. He was an awesome man with a heart of gold. He will surely be missed and is reunited with Jennifer .

I'm so sorry to hear that Steve passed away. I haven't seen him since he was a teenager -- the younger brother of my friends Helen and Edie. I remember spending much time at their home, which his mother was always remodeling. Steve was a fixture in his neighborhood, part of the North Side's Italian crowd. It seems that those times, when we were young and optimistic, have just flown by. I'm sure he's now somewhere among the stars, hanging out with his family. Condolences to those who remain...
