Not sure what to say?

Our deepest condolences to Ruth and the rest of the family. Steve was a wonderful neighbor. Always had a smile and hello for us. We will miss him.

Had the pleasure of working and fishing with Steve. Extending my deepest sympathies to family.

The Spathiphyllum Plant

I was transferred from street duty to Desk Sgt. duty at #3 in 1996 due to old on duty injuries. Steve was my Rock of Gibralter breaking the new kid in to fill Wally Tesch's shoes. It was a rewarding experience to work with him. We also served together in the First Brigade HQ of the 84th Div. USAR. Because of this we became close friends even well after retirement. News of his passing saddened my heart. I know he is in a better place where he can again play pranks on Tommy Pasch.

Steve was a great cousin. He was a solid personality with compassion, dedicated to family and community. He will be missed even by those who live far away.

Our deepest condolences to the entire Polka family. Steve was a great friend to Edward. Steve was always a bright light regardless what was happening around them. They enjoyed the times together at Webb's, Potawatomi or just at the apartment. Such a kind and gentle person.
Rest in peace and God bless.

Loving Light Dishgarden

An absolute shame. Steve was a wonderful man and a great friend to my parents, David and Myrna. He will be missed; the Polka family has my sincere condolences.

Steve was a good friend and great guy to share a golf cart with. I will miss his company, sense of humor, and easy going personality. I send my deepest sympathy to Ruth, Carolyn, Cheryl and the rest of the family. You have lost a really great guy.
