Not sure what to say?

Althea, So sorry to read about Steve's passing. I still remember how much fun it was getting to know Steve when we met as couples for dinner. Always enjoyed talking with him on the phone. Call me at any time. Henry

Althea and Avary I'm so sorry to learn of the loss of Steve. He was always so kind and seemed to make everyone he came in contact with feel important. Even though he is now enjoying the presence of the Lord, I'm sure his passing has left a huge void in your lives. I'll pray for comfort as you adjust to this new stage in life.

Althea and Avary and extended family, You are in our thoughts and prayers. Heaven has gained a treasure!!! What a generous, kind, humble and encouraging man! We already miss him, but we know he is now pain-free. May your beautiful history and memories of him bring some comfort in your deep sense of loss. God bless you. Jennifer and Nate.

I was shocked to learn about Steve's passing. He was such a kind and caring person. Even as a young high schooler, Steve showed positive qualities beyond his years. Althea and Avary and family, my heart goes out to you and loss you are feeling. We are thinking of you and praying for you during this difficult time. Hold onto the great memories. Betsy and Don Ritchie

Steve was a childhood friend, who was always regarded as an all around great guy! As neighborhood kids in the 1950s and 1960s, sports were paramount and we had our own March Madness year round. The Sassaman home on Biddle Street was always welcoming and Mrs. Sassaman made the best whoopie pies! Although our paths did not cross many times post Tamaqua, it was always a pleasure to see Steve and reminisce. On behalf of my Mother, my husband and myself, we extend our sincerest sympathy to...

As a former student of Mr. Sassaman and a co-worker with Althea, I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the family. It was a privilege to have him as a teacher. He was considered as "one of the good ones". May the Lord uphold you, Althea, as you transition life without him! Hugs to you!

I knew Steve from his time at ft hunter mansion. I loved his humor and how he was able to get the kids in our school group tours eating out of his hand... he will be missed

My heartfelt condolences and prayers for Althea and Avary, over the loss of their beloved husband and father. Steve was such a dear, sweet, loving, likable man who put others at ease within minutes of knowing him. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Althea and Avary, I am so sorry for your loss. Steve will be missed by many. May your good memories ease your pain during this difficult time.
