While time spent with Steve lessened over the past few years, the memories are strong. I still smile when I recall Emily sleeping in the pick-up truck on an early morning balloon launch or running through your house to check the 'progress' of Steve's latest furniture project.

So very sorry Emily and Sue Steve was a wonderful role model he will be greatly missed.

I am sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He taught, provided inspiration, and was a role model to me as learned about Bicycle Racing. He helped me at several times in my life. I am currently finishing up the restoration of the race bike he used in the 1960's and early 1970's. My hope was to show him the effort ask him if he wanted the bike back.

I had heard of his battle with Parkinson's and am surprised at the speed that it caused his debilitation.
