Stephen Frederick Savageau

I met Steve and Tony when we moved to Denver in 1969. Though not a horseman, he knew many of my friends from the Denver social scene. I moved to the Walsenburg area in 2001, and was thrilled to see Steve here one day at the post office! Miss you Steve!

I am heartbroken. I lost touch the last two years thinking that this year I would roll on down to visit him this summer. I worked for Steve for 6 years, He was a close friend and the brightest light imaginable. Godspeed Little Stevie, Godspeed. -Kate Cain Madsen

My walls are festooned with lovely paintings from Savageau's and my heart is full with the friendship I had with him.

I will miss Stephen's good cheer and encouragement as one of my friends here in the Burg. His present of "The Art of Worldly Wisdom" has been one of the most precious gifts I have ever received. I am a better person for having read it, and, more importantly, for having known Stephen. Thank you Stephen, until we meet again...
