Stephen Savell Obituary

ODESSA - Stephen enlisted in the United States Army on June 20, 1967. He then served in Vietnam from October 1, 1969 to February 1st 1970. He was discharged at Fort Hood in 1974.

In 1969, he met Alverina Halverson-Savell in Odessa, TX. They were married on September 30th 1970 here in Odessa, Texas.

Stephen was a loving father, grandfather and husband. Stephen loved to go hunting and fishing and spending time outdoors with his family.

He leaves behind his wife Alverina Halverson Savell, son Michael Ray Savell, son Caleb Ray Savell, Daughters Ashley Lyn Savell-Armendariz (Luis Armendariz), Stephanie Ann Savell, Edie Savell. Brothers Dennis R Savell and Allen Savell. Grandchildren Christian Savell, Twyla Knox, Tarrah Adams, Shena Hernandez, Jacob Fleming, Noah Fleming and many Great-Grand Children.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 5 PM - 9 PM at Odessa Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 10 AM in the chapel of Odessa Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Prosser officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2022 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.
