Not sure what to say?

How sorry I am for missing Steve's funeral. If there was an ultimate human being in this world, it was Steve. He was very kind, forgiving, trusting, and simply one of the kind.

We will miss him dearly. I will always remember him.

My condolences to all the saxenian family, especially, Mary, Steve, and Tom.

DEAR MRS SAX, STEVE, AND TOM
MASSOUD AND I WERE SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT MR. SAX. HE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON. HE ALWAYS TOLD ME I WAS HIS ADOPTED DAUGHTER. WORKING AT BAGDAD WAS LIKE WORKING WITH FAMILY. WE HAVE SO MANY GOOD MEMORIES. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. ALL OUR LOVE.
JULIE AND MASSOUD

Mr. Sax and my Father were the two finest men I have ever known. But this is not about my Father. It’s a tribute to Mr. Steve Saxenian. Mr. Sax, whose generosity, grace, kind heart, loving spirit, friendship (I could go on and on) far exceeded his grasp. A short story. If you knew Mr. Sax, he loved to take you to lunch, and if you ever reached to pick up the “tab” take care….your limbs were in danger. I’ll never forget one time when we went to lunch, and Sax had to leave the table. I...

Saxenian family,
I will always remember Mary Kathyrn speaking so highly of her grandfather and that he meant so much to her. Their close relationship I will forever admire. My thoughts are with you.

Steve was a lifelong friend and a wonderful individual. We spent many enjoyable get-togethers when we were young. He was always a leader and it was no surprise that he immediately took the responsibility for helping support his family after the untimely death of his father. My greatest recollection was meeting Steve in Italy during the war in 1945. My wife Marie-Louise, Steve’s cousin, and I give our warmest condolences to Mary and his family.

Dear Papa,

I will never forget everything that you taught me. You taught me how to be a good person, a sucessful student, and an all around good Saxenian. The best thing that you taught me was to keep a good name by being honest and true to myself. As I am signing this guest book, I cant help but be happy that you lived a full and good life. You raised a great family and if it were not for you I would not be here today. I will keep my end of our bargin and continue to be successful in...

Oh Papa you have meant so much to me.
I was very upset when I heard about what happened. It was hard for me to think about going to your house and not seeing you anymore. The past few days have helped a lot. Everyone who knew you well kept saying how you would look past things and see the overall outcome. This helped me realize I need to celebrate your life, and rejoice in the fact that you are no longer in pain. I am very happy I was able to spend twenty years with you. You have...
