Stephen Lasher Schechter

Having recently learned of Stephen´s passing, I extend my sympathy to you and your family. My association with Stephen was through several years as an educator and then mentor in the Project Citizen program. Traveling with Stephen was an education in itself as he was always ready to share his wisdom, political analysis and sense of humor. He will indeed be missed. Please know that because I was blessed to know Stephen your sorrow is mine.

Stephen was the kind of university professor that everyone wants, but very, very few get to have. I will always cherish his insight, patience, friendship, sense of humor, and generosity. I´m thankful to have known him, and offer my sincere condolences to Stephanie and the rest of his family.

I will cherish the wonderful numerous memories I have of Stephen and Stephanie. Most of all I cherish our friendship.

I was honored to work with Stephen at Sage for many years. He was a truly inspiring faculty member, and he will be missed. Condolences to his family.
