Not sure what to say?

I always enjoyed Mr. Schomody better known to us as Peepa.. We always were welcomed to their home and enjoyed his fishing stories....truly he leaves a legacy in his children and grandchilden..we see so much of George in Will..fine qualities of a wonderful man

Dear Susan, Jill, Dee and Jai--
I think you all know how much I loved and respected George. I'll never forget the day that I found out his real name was Stephen. I told him that it only made sense that the "King of Nicknames" had one too! I always affectionately refered to him as Garcon. He was such a kidder and loved to tease me with threats of meatloaf for dinner! His humor and kind manner will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Probably not too many of the present Starksboro Baptist Church congregation, remember Helen Silliman or the Schomody family but there may be a few and so on their behalf please accept our sincere condolences in Stephen's homegoing. As clerk of the church I will share the obituary with the church family on Sunday, Feb 22. One or two like Norma Wedge will remember things that Stephen did on behalf of the church. My late mother-in-law, Olive Hanson, often spoke of you all before we retired...

Dear Susan, Jill, Jana, Denise, & Families,
This is written with my heart felt sympathy to all of you. The obituary gave perfect description to a wonderful man. He always had a smile, and a kind word for everyone. And let us not forget the nicknames! As a child I was known to him as "Robert Dee" ....... all these years later, I still remember the echoes. Last summer, Susan was out taking him for a walk when I "happened" upon them. As he approached, I was greeted with a great big...

Dear Sue and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Sincerely,
Peggy Blood

Susan, Jill, Jana, & Denise,
It saddens me to hear of your loss.
However, reading the obituary you wrote put a smile on my face knowing George lived a very rich life and on his own terms. It was well written.
He is in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathy to the Schomody family. What a very nice obituary. George was such a remarkable man and I feel blessed to have known him.

I have fond memeries of George. One fishing trip on lake Champlain stayed with me for many years.
