Not sure what to say?

My heart warms every time I see your picture Mr Selby. Still thinking of the tremendous impact you had on my life and love for history. Thank you for the book you bought me when I was a student...circa 1995.

Mr. Selby, you were so loved! Frankly the best teacher I've ever had and what a human to know! Deeply regretful I didn't go back to McNair to visit enough but I'll miss you always! You were an incredible person.

Mr. Selby, I can honestly say it was a pleasure and an honor to work with you at Mcnair high school. Even though my stay at the high school was short-lived I can definitely remember some of the conversations that we had during different classes. With that being said, you will always be remembered as a staple in my experience of education.

Of Al the great teachers and professors in my life, Mr Selby made the most profound impact by far. Thank you for inspiring my love for history Mr Selby! I will never forget or take for granted your commitment to us! Rest in peace! Love you and appreciate you. Harold Santiago class of 1996

Prayers to the Family.

Mr. Selby was my Ethnic Studies teacher in 1983. He was a wonderful teacher and made me aware of the struggles faced by all people. I was saddened to read that he passed away when I googled his name this morning. I wanted to thank him for ensuring I viewed things from many perspectives. May he rest in peace.

Steve was the consummate professional and gentleman. Always approachable and helpful, he greatly helped my transition to the staff of McNair. He had a profound impact on the careers of his coworkers like myself and the countless students he taught. My sincere sympathies.

Steve Selby was my colleague and mentor at McNair for several years. His kindness, humor, and support meant so much to me. He was a wonderful man, dedicated teacher, and good friend. My condolences to all his friends and family.
