Stephen T. Sochulak Jr.

Sochulak Jr., Stephen T. "Peanuts", 77, on November 27, 2009 of Mahwah, NJ. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Mathesius) for 55 years. Loving father of Stephen Sochulak III and wife Wendy of Monroe, NY, Gloria Seitel of Mahwah, Kenny J. Sochulak and wife Virginia of Mahwah and Robert Sochulak of Mahwah. Adored grandfather of Ryan, Sean, Vanessa, Steven IV, Brittany, Christine and Jessica and great-grandson Evan Ryan Finnerty. Dear brother of Helen Bruschulski, Ann Marie Sochulak, Margie De Groat and Tom Sochulak. Stephen was a Mahwah Fire CO# 2 member for 57 years, Mahwah Fire Chief in 64-65 and a Life Member of Mahwah Fire Exempt Association. He was one of the founders of the Mahwah Fire Prevention Bureau and a member of Forest Fire Service District Fire Warden in State of NJ and also a NJ State Fireman's Association Life Member. Stephen was a sergeant in the US Army in the Hell on Wheels, Post Commander of the Mahwah VFW 7124 in 74-75 and a Life Member of the Mahwah Elks 1941. Stephen worked for Mahwah Ford for 30 years as a forklift operator and was a bartender at Twin Bar in Mahwah. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church in Mahwah. Interment will follow at Mahwah Cemetery.
