Not sure what to say?

It was an honor to serve with Stephen on the USS Montrose (APA 212) and I thank Stephen for being a great shipmate and helping others at all times while serving in Vietnam.

I was very surprised to hear of Steve’s passing. I met him and his wife at Shermansdale music jam. Steve was a great singer and guitar player. His wife, Karen, is a very nice person.
Karen, I pray God to be with you each and every day, and your family.
Remember the good times you and Steve had over the years.
God bless!

So sorry to hear about Uncle Steve's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Aunt Karen.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Steve's passing. The last time I visited PA, I met up with Uncle Steve and Aunt Karen... Uncle Steve shared some stories of when he and my father were young. I loved hearing those stories, and I could tell that Uncle Steve thoroughly enjoy reminiscing about those good times. We also shared a passion for music and guitar--Uncle Steve sure was talented. Uncle Steve was a good man and will be missed by many. Rest in peace Uncle Steve... until we meet again.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
Our sympathy and prayers to the family.

Going to miss you at the Montrose Reunions old buddy. But, we all know that you're just preparing for a Reunion that will be the Largest of all Reunions that we've ever seen here on Earth. Our day will come but until then my friend, "Hang Tight" !! Love goes out to all the Family during this time of need. May God Bless each and everyone of you until we meet again.......Fred and Dee Dee Salmon

Stephen and I were in the same class of 63. I remember him fondly. He had a sweet personality.

Steve was a wonderful shipmate and a great member of the Montrose Association. Always one to chip in and make things work! Until we meet again, my friend.

Karen.....and Sarah, Mike and Keith- my heart aches for each and everyone of you. Your family has been a part of my family for many years and I share your tears. I will miss Steve's talks, singing and most of all his friendship and love.
May God be with you all and watch over you in your hours of need.
God has an angel.
