We can not express how sorry we are to hear about Steve. We met him at Crushed Grapes and always appreciated his kindness. He will be missed and his family will be in our prayers.

Thanks all for the kind words. Steve's legacy will continue with me, my family, and all those who loved him.

My Dad came to Vermont last summer for a nice visit. He was able to see my new home, we went to the farmer's market together, did some shopping at Orvis, and we even got into some rivers to do some fly fishing as we did when I was a boy.

When I start a family of my own and every time I trudge into the wilderness, whether it's with my dog for some upland birds,...

Steve and Lady were our family. Our hearts are aching without him here, to hear his voice... He was one of us. To have lost Steve is to have lost part of what our family is about.
There are so many things left unfinished and unsaid, not knowing we wouldn't have one last chance to tell him how much we loved him.

I enjoyed working with Steve the last 5 years. Very dedicated worker, and congenial to be around. He will be missed by all who knew him.

When I used to work with Steve, we enjoyed going to the farmers market and driving out to the Apple Orchard near Athens to buy asparagus in the spring and pumpkins in the fall.
His girl dog, Lady passed away around the same time as my pooch, 13 year old 2tone. Steve was very smart and fun to work with.
